Your English is great. I wish so many of the people here would even try to speak English.

Fredericksburg is a quaint German town in the lovely Hill Country of Texas. It's full of shops of lots of sovenirs, etc. to bring back to Italy, great German restaurants, many bed and breakfast places, and quite a tourist attraction for a town of about 10,000.

If you do a search on google for Fredericksburg, Texas, you'll find lots of great information.

I haven't been there in quite a few years but now am considering moving near Fredericksburg or some place in the Hill Country.

Laura, I'm sure you'll get lots of posts for your thread.

RSTX is on a distinguished road
Fredericksburg is a fun town to visit. I grew up just 40 miles away and we went over there frequently for various reasons (ie. shopping, visit family/friends). I would highly recommend staying in one of the bed & breakfast inns instead of a hotel. Much more charm and personality, as well as helpful innkeepers. My wife and I have stayed at the Magnolia House B&B many times and have always loved it. It can be found by Googleing "Magnolia House, Fredericksburg, TX". Get off main street and you will find the locals are friendly and genuine.

Not to dump rain on you but you do realize how far it is from Palo Duro Canyon to Fredericksburg, right? It will take you the best part of a day to drive it. Probably six or seven hours. Don't get discouraged while driving. You won't get from the Panhandle area to Central TX quickly.

What brings you here from Italy?

Enjoy your stay.

This question is very great!

What brings you here from Italy? .....

For the first, I'm love USA.
I have been in USA some times and my deam is to live there but...it's impossible... It's for the next life....

I have seen NY, Florida, Arizona, Utah, California, Nevada and now...Texas!
I'm very curiuos to live for 15 days a cowboys experience. I would like to visit more places and when I arrive in the USA...I'm like to stay at home!!! I'm very happy!

Texas...I have seen more movies, I have read about cowboys and I have seen more pictures. I would like to discover part of this State.
For this moment, I know that there are a fantastic people !
I love to travel in this manner....
I would like to put on a pair of boots and a cowboys hat!

Many thanks for your question....

About Fredericksburg, I will stay only 1 night; it's a stop between Palo Duro Canyon and San Antonio.
The next day, I will be in San Antonio (2 nights).... 1 day for Seaworld!

Have a nice day everyone!

Welcome to Texas and you do very well with your English.
I live in Fredericksburg but the only place I've spent the night here other than home is a bed and breakfast called 2 Wee Cottages. There website is www.2weecottages.com
Cute and clean. Close to Main st. and all the shops.
The Brewery has good German food. San Antonio is about 70 miles away. Are you moving to San Antonio?
Best of luck on your new journey.

The Brewery has good German food and is one of my faves here. Best Western can give you directions. It's on Main Street. The price is decent too.

Ok! many thanks for your reccomend! I put this name in my plan!

I booked some days ago, Best Western in 314 E Highway Street (79$ + 13%tax)

I don't understand because in USA, the taxes are separated.

Have a wonderful day!
