Default Relocating from Raleigh, NC

I have pretty much all but decided upon Texas, I'm just not sure about which city. I plan to fly into Austin then drive down to San Antonio, up to Dallas, and over to Houston to get a feel for each area and see what stands out. Initially, San Antonio and Austin were the frontrunners, now it seems that it's up in the air. I know that it's all a matter of personal preference and depending upon someone's interests, lifestyle, and desired employment it could vary a great deal, but I was just hoping I could get a little extra material to consider when making my decision. Not knowing me, which city would you recommend? What are the selling points behind that particular city and why should I abandon the others as possibilities? I guess I'm just asking for a broad, generalized take that could be applicable to just about anyone relocating. Thanks for any help and consideration.

You may also want to consider Round Rock...just outside of Austin. Great schools

Keep in mind. Ft Worth/Dallas and Houston are massive metro areas of 5 million+ each, with a vast amount ethnic diversity and entertainment options. Being from NC you may be familier with Atlanta GA. D/FW and Houston have alot in common with Atl. Austin and San Antonio are more in line with Raleigh as far as metro size.
