This ranks high on the anti-americanism scale. I cant believe that buffoon Perry even brought it up. That says alot about this governor. This also goes to those people who support it. You people are very anti-american. I am glad Texas is moving more to the moderate/liberal side. In a short few years these extreme right-wingers will be pretty much extinct.

There is nothing wrong with being overly proud of your heritage. Self-sufficiency and fiercely independent sometimes mistaken for pride. Research "Come and Take It" cannon at Gonzales, "Massacre at Goliad" and of course, "The Alamo" to better understand the natives. Border fence perhaps being built along the wrong river as 1000 people per day moving in from the North.

Texas would be a lot better off without you far north east critters.
You forget that Barrack Hussein Obama lost in Texas.

Good job! I would even reverse the wording a bit and say that a fiercely independent spirit and proud heritage is good reason for that pride!

Dam, we get a black&white President (for 4 freaking mo.) and now people are talking tea parties and seceding from the Union LMAO. I've heard it all.
Funny thing is no one was talking this nonsense with bush in office the last 8yrs. Come'on folks let's just call it what it is...... Try taking off the white cap and think about it for a minute.

What if we want to re-claim it? As in re-affirm the Constitution as originally intended. The 9th and 10th Amendment and all.

Who is "you"? I voted for the Constitutional Party candidate! A change? More taxes, more spending and the same, etc, etc, etc. I am a Texas/Southern conservative. Neither a Democrat nor Republican. And the Republican party disgusted me last time around. They earned their label of "The Stupid Party" far as I am concerned.
The TEA party was a start. I hope it keeps brewing. Pun intended.
