I saw the posters people were holding of Obama that had exaggerated his facial characteristics to shade him more monkey than man...
Caricatures....don't they all look like monkeys? I mean, Bush's caricature was not exactly nice either....one just needed to watch Letterman, Daily Show, read NYTimes editorial page to see the daily cartoons of him...you'd think the guy was an alien monkey that lived on Pluto. I'd post some pics here, but I've gotten the copyright manifesto from the admins, so I better refrain this time around.

I tell you what, many of my conservative friends, including myself, WOULD LOVE TO HAVE AN AFRICAN AMERICAN MAN FOR PRESIDENT - IF HE WERE CONSERVATIVE!! Believe it or not, the democratic party had always been more racist than the elephant--this idea of republicans getting their undies in a knot over the fact that a black man is in office is something of a relative phenomenon. Read what the extremely liberal LBJ said about african americans. Heck, read up on FDR. Not pretty, not pretty. people are too quick to forget history!

Was wondering how long it would take before the race card was thrown out.

Before I start on this reply, let's set some things straight first...I am not white....far from it. Nor am I a Republican. I am a Libertarian. Now, with that out of the way....

The uproar has nothing to do with Obama's race. It has everything to do with his policies. It has to do with an attempt the reign the Washington beast back into the confines of the US Constitution. For DECADES (since the 1930s), Americans have slept while Washington slowly took more and more sovereignty from the states, enacted more and more social programs, irresponsibly spent more and more money, and confiscated more and more taxes. Obama has just managed to be clear about his intentions to CHANGE the fundamentals of American society into a more socialist nation. His administration is natural culmination of what's been going on since Herbert Hoover. Finally, as Nixon coined the term, the Silent Majority is starting to wake up, speak up, and try to do something about it. This is what the Tea Parties are all about. PERIOD

To all you race baiters out there...let's say J.C. Watts (R-Oklahoma) or Michael Steel (head on the RNC) had ran for the presidency and won. If you don't know who these guys are, they are Conservative Republicans who also happen to be black. What would you Libs have done with that? I know exactly what you would have done with that. They would call them names like Uncle Tom, House Boy, said that they weren't really black and all that other vile filth I've heard liberals spit at minority conservatives. Liberals love minorities and women in politics and high positions...so long as they are liberals. If minorities or women happen to be conservative, the venom of their hatred and attacks are off the radar and the most personal character assasinations I've ever seen. Like Doc Holliday, a Liberal's hypocrisy knows no bounds.

One last thing, this wasn't about Republicans either. As mentioned before, the Tea Parties had Republicans, Libertarians, Constitutionalists, and Democrats attending them. Republicans who don't understand the Tea Parties themselves and showed up to them were BOOOED offstage. The list of Republicans booed included California GOP chairman Ron Nehring, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Utah Governor Jon Huntsman, Senator Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), Senator Bob Bennett (R-Utah), and Rep. Gresham Barrett (R-South Carolina). This is just the short list of Republicans who have drawn the ire of fiscal Conservatives.

If you want to keep telling yourself that this is all about race, I guess you're going to do so. Since when have liberals ever let facts get in the way of their dogma?

Socialist do not care about facts. When you give them the truth that one day this country will eventually split up and give them all the true facts, all they can do is pull the race card or lie thru ther teeth. They have become blind followers of Barrack Hussein Obama. I would have voted for any body Black, White etc. As long as they were True Americans, God fearing, Protected our Constitution and went by it to the letter it would not matter, but that is not what Barrack Hussein Obama is doing. Hell he does not care about America,he only cares about himself and his Socialist friends. But the day will come and it will come and if Texas secedes there will be more than Texas who leaves you mark my words. The True Americans will not take it much longer and I do not believe that the military will either because they take take their oath to the Constitution not to the Government.

Exactly right ...

It was our very own Dwight David “Ike” Eisenhower (A Texan and a Republican) that wrote the Civil Rights Act, way back in 1957.

Lyndon Baines Johnson, on the other hand, a fiercly proud Texan in his own right, lobbied hard "against" Eisenhower's proposed legislation in 1957 for Civil Rights.

LBJ openly backed reactionary and retrograde legislation on race. It wasn't until 1964 that Johnson realized how important the black vote might be, so he crafted legislation to form what he often refered to as "The Great Society", and created the largest "Dependency Class" in U.S. history (90% black).

Up until 1964, it was the Republican party that had 80% of the black vote in this country ... Blacks had voted Republican, every since it became legal to vote, because, afterall, it was the Republican President Abraham Lincoln that assisted greatly in securing their freedom from slavery.

I encourage all, who would be so inclined, to read our history. Grow strong in the knowledge of our country, and learn about how things really happened in the past. You might be shocked to discover that Democrats, by and large, have Republicans beat in the racism department by a margin of 5 to 1 in this country.

What we Republicans are most concerned with, I feel, are wingnuts like Pelosi, and nation busting deficits that support socialistic regimes and programs.
These kinds deficits threaten our national security like you could never imagine ... And with that I'll ask ... Who, in their right mind, would want to be a part of losing this nation to the whim of the ignorant socialist? I'm quite certain that Texas doesn't want to come to that party, and I know for a fact that Montana won't come either. Washington, is, all by itself, forcing the States to make some pretty tough decisions, and secession may be the ultimate alternative for many.

We who would dare to be Republican, end up with 2b dollar (Montana) and 11b dollar (Texas) surpluses, while those who would practice socialism on a grand scale (California) usually end up writing out IOU's for paychecks, all the while running to the central government, with their arm out and their leg up, begging for more money. I guess you could say, in so many words, that by creating the worlds largest depedency class, clear back in 1964, they, the Democrats, became "the dependency class" themselves, and most are just too blind, or ignorant to even notice.

if anyone here trusts the TX LEGISLATURE to control with finess, foresight, and fiscal responsibility---you must be either deaf, dumb, and blind as to its past history or intending to vote out 99% of the politicians in the House and Senate including the Govenor and Lt. Gov...
we need to get better politicians first people...and I guess they would be from YOUR camp...
what am I thinking of...

who would consider putting either Watts or Steel up as candidate for president after their history of inept performance and just plain ignorance of what it takes to run a country, well, enough said...
no point in visiting this thread anymore...
