Evidently Spade you have not been around the majority of Texans. You have been blind for awhile as to what goes on around Texas. Maybe you need to play SaladoSam's video you might be in for a surprise as well. Maybe you need to talk to more true Texans, not the want to be Texans that are actually Socialist in disguise. Also maybe you need to talk to True Americans as well who believe in God,Country and the U.S. Constitution. Socialist always keep their mouths moving but they can never prove anything with facts. I don't need to click to watch anything. I just do not agree with any secessionist movement and it's a stupid argument. I see the people that are pro-secede never thinks about the cons of doing so. You want facts? How about over 70% of Texans disagree with seceding. True Americans would never want to secede from the nation. You don't believe in the country. You want to break it apart. Was you crying secede when Bush was the president? More than likely not. Just because someone has disagreements with you does not mean they do not believe in God, the Country, and the US Constitution and it is an insult to say so. My mother's church who mostly voted for Obama believes in God, the Country, and the US Constitution. Now I will repeat what someone else said on the last page. Get over yourself. During the campaign the president said several times it's time to "fundementaly change America". He meant that and the people needed to take him seriously.
Change it how you ask? Well, he wants to :
Appoint a Supreme Court Judge that has "empathy and understands the affect the law's have on the people". Sorry, but I thought a judge was supposed to interpret the law under the scrutiny of the US Constitution, but that's just me.

By definition Facism is the convergence of state and corporate power. Well the 'state' just fired the CEO of a 'corporation' (General Motors). And now with these bailouts I ask you how much corporate power just converged with state power?
He is pushing through Cap and Trade which will have HUGE regulations on business in America. It will raise taxes ACROSS THE BOARD on every single product produced, imported, exported and comsumed in this country.
Do I need to go on because I have more? The United States Constitution is the 'fundementals of America' and he was serious when he said he wanted to change it. It has nothing to do with what he looks like, it has to do with what he is trying to do. To claim it's racial is a cop-out. It's also cowardice because you dont want to (or cant) argue with the facts.
It has nothing to do with hate. It has nothing to do with a half black president. And probly not the first half black president this country has had. It doesn't even have anything to do with leftwing/socialist/democrats/treehugger liberals.
It has everything to do with a government that is ignoring the intent of the constitution as originally framed and pursuing a direction of a larger more controlling government ignoring the independence of the states. Yes, I know. Liberals don't believe states are independent but subject to the federal government as resulting from the civil war. But the pursuit of complete federal dominance the government is adopting today is not tolerable.
That's not the way we live in Texas, or at least don't intend to live.

The only question that I have on the 70% poll that was taken a while back is where were the people that were polled. Were they in Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, Houston? They are becoming largely liberal in the cities and that doesn't reflect Texas as a whole. I'm just asking, because I really don't know where the majority of the poll took place. I looked, but couldn't find anything.
The other thing that I would like to comment on is the cons of seceding. I'm not a secessionist per se, but I have thought of the idea as of late because of all the talk of it and what the cons would be. First, I don't think that breaking from the Union would cause a war. To even secede, I think that Texas would have to draw on major political forces (which I'm not sure we even have atm). The next thing I thought of is trade. We are currently one of the top States in economy. As a nation that has seceded, we would loose some of our trade with the United States because I believe that would be the punishment for seceding (as opposed to war). Obviously this would hurt because the United States is the largest economy to which we just left. The only way to make up for the loss in revenue would be to draw more on the oil and natural gas in the area. The next thing I thought of is who would be our friends? Not the United States, not Mexico, and not any of the smaller nations like Cuba. The only nations that I would think would embrace us would be France, Spain, Germany, and other nations with similar mindsets. I think the United Kingdom would embrace us, but not openly.
There are so many factors that come into play with a decision like this that I can't address them all. Those are the first that come to mind though: punishment for seceding (not including war), trade, and allies.
Oh, one other thing. You stated, "True Americans would never want to secede from the nation." I think that True Americans would stand up for themselves if our government became so overbearing that we lost all the rights and priviledges set up for us by our Founding Father's ideals. True Americans fight for the freedom of others, as well as, their own freedom. If the last thing anyone could do was to secede from the Union, do you not think that we would do it to preserve our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?
You just proved again that all you Socialist can come back with is the race card or some other lies to fight back with because you can not afford to use the real facts because it goes against what you are trying to shove down our throats. Well bring it on Dopo.
Do not forget that this country first seceded from the British when we fought for our freedoms against the British.
