Default Why are more moral people (at least in TX) conservative?

Clearly, moral upstanding Texans are conservative. Liberal Texans have immoral tendencies.

Like starting needless wars? How'd that turn out for the "moral" Texans who thought invading Iraq was a good idea?

Naw, just giving balance to the insulting, inflammatory threads of:

Why are more educated people (at least in TX) liberal?

and Is Texas really as conservative/narrow-minded as people say it is?

But seriously, it is the political parties basic ideas towards God, the Bible, (in most cases) Pro-Life, and the realizing that the Founding Fathers of this Nation knew the less government involvemnet in our lives the better!
Seems the lib side is the supporters of banning even the mention of God in any public place, they want churches to accept people in leadership positions that clearly are not in line with the churches teaching (homosexuals, people who do not even believe there is a GOD, etc.).
Conservatives believe that if you earn the money, you should be able to keep or spend as much of it as you want, not have half of it supporting some lazy never get off the couch slob on an unConstitutional government program.

Anyone notice that "open minded" and "non judgmental" liberals started the two insulting, inflammatory threads?

That might be the case, but now you're doing the exact same thing as them.

Texas just has it going on. The legislature meets for only 60 days and that's only every other year. And as we all know...

"You can't legislate morality, Mr. President"

- Clinton Campaign, 1992

(or, whenever that was)

This thread began in a very trollish way, with intent to sow dissension. I would ask what "moral" means, whether wearing one's religion on the sleeve and judging others, or actually practicing tolerance and trying to live in an ethical way.
