Pittsburg Texas (Tyler, Longview, Gilmer: school district, pitbulls, shops)

Does anyone know anything about this area. Stores, Doctors, Vets???

Not a whole lot in Pittsburg, but has a nice downtown area with shops and such. Bo Pilgrim's name and/or face is everywhere.

Relatively short driving distance to Gilmer and Mt. Pleasant or into Longview or Tyler.

Seems to be a comfortable town, but school seems to have too many discipline type issues to deal with.

What kind of discipline. You mean they want to spank your child? I wouldn't like that.

There has been some controversy lately on how the school diistrict has chosen to discipline students. It got to that point because of the difficulty in controlling some of the students enrolled.

A discussion with the principal and/or superintendent of the school district you move to and a signature on a form will ease your concerns about paddling.

That is too funny. Here we have Pitbulls killing their chickens and we can't stand it any more. Poor chickens. It is terrible to watch and hear.
They don't believe in chicken coops.

Just last week I had to go next door and pull a chicken leg out of the dogs mouth. It was choking on it. Just puppies learning new things. Yuck.

So is that who my new neighbors will be? That would be terrible to move to some more chickens.
