You don't want to find the best places to shop in Texas, you want to brag about Dallas and everybody agree with you.

I prefer to shop in Dallas so I can buy the same things I can get at any other city in the entire United States. It is always so fashionable to go somewhere and see someone else wearing the same clothes.

I would never shop in some metropolis like Houston where my clothes would be less blah.

The same could be said for the Houston Galleria. Dallas certainly doesn't have the monopoly on the pretentious, overspent-on-clothes types. I personally don't see much difference between the two Gallerias, esp considering that I try to avoid both places like a VD.

As far as outlets go, Tanger doesn't really have good enough deals to warrant a visit unless you live in San Marcos, New Braunfels, Seguin, etc or otherwise have a reason to be in that area.

Online has been my route lately for electronics and some clothes even. I'm very tempted to buy my next car in this way.

BTW funny one TXAggie -- Sharpstown Mall! Quite possibly the most ghetto mall in the entire state. I'm surprised it hasn't gone the way of WestWood yet.

TSC (Tractor Supply Company) and Walmart.

I hate malls. I avoid them at all costs. The generification of America. UGH. I have no desire to go shopping in overpriced stores for the latest fashions, dodging other shoppers and their crying babies in buggies. Malls make me physically ill. There ain't nothing there that I can't get over the internet.

I will stick with my simple life, Wranglers and boots and t-shirts. My hunting gear serves a dual purpose, as my cold-weather gear.

Boy, I sure will make some low-maintenance woman for some man some day!

Dallas & Houston are both the shopping & fashion meccas of Texas. Everywhere else in the state doesn't hold a candle to those two cities when it comes to high end or custom tailored clothing.

I will add this.

Houston's Galleria is the largest in the state & one of the largest indoor shopping malls in the nation. It's also a tourist destination for people from the Latin countries of Central America.
