Default moving to Kempner

I am planning to move to Kempner in July. I would appreciate info on the area. Where I am from we have meat markets, grocery warehouses for cheap food and farmers set up in town to sell produce and eggs. Are these thing available in the area. Also I am unable to drive. Is there an agency who helps transport patients to DRs appointments and pick up meds? My boyfriend and I are looking for people to socialize with. I am looking for a crafting and shopping buddy.

Um, have you visited Kempner? It is more of a community than a town. It is not far from Copperas Cove which has stores and doctors, but Kempner doesn't have anything more than a gas station. If you do not drive I would strongly suggest you look into a different location. Copperas Cove or Killeen would be much better for your situation.

You should really plan a visit to see the area. That will help you more than you can imagine.

Best of luck.

Ah, then you are in good shape. You will certainly have privacy and solitude.

Whether you are a believer or not, a good place to check for travel assistance would be the local churches. They may be able to point you in the right direction for help. The local COC might also be helpful.

Enjoy your new home. I hope it is everything you want it to be.

For groceries/discount stores you are going to need to drive.. either up to Lampasas or back into Copperas Cove.

You will have HEB and Walmart both ways. Lampasas is more laid back and not as crowded. (that's where I prefer to shop when not going on post)

Default i have arrived

I am outside off Lampasas not in Kempner I thought I was but close by. I have been here for 3 weeks. loving the weather and have explored Lampasas,Cove and ventured into Killeen. I think Killeen is too busy for me. I dorealize I will be going there to shop for things other than groceries and WalMart. I am finding things and enjoying the area. I am thinking of going to the fair this week from the 30th to the 2nd. I am also thinking of the planitarium and the joust and dinner theater.
