Default Requirements for DL

What are the requirements for a DL for a person moving to TX. I currently have a FL DL.

forget the sign your name part--that implies having a legal license/insurance--
TO DRIVE--you just have to be breathing and have access to motor vehicle

Default DL Process - Colorado County

We got our insurance cards from our agent, took them and the autos to the vehicle inspection station, took the inspection certificate to the court house and got tags, took the tag receipts to the DL office, took vision test and turned in the out-of-state DL and got temporaryTX DL. This took a total of about 3 hrs since we never had wait. The total cost for a 2006 Jeep Commander and a 2002 Thunderbird was about $420.
A week later the real DL came in the mail. Two weeks later our Voter Registration came in the mail.
Very straight forward process.
