Geez man, move to Alaska.

LOL...I think my girlfriend would as well. The only time the heat really gets to me here is July and August. I just stay indoors those two months. The rest of the year can be quite nice!

dont get me wrong i love texas ---- however
long time ago i left houston, a very good move. if i had stayed i would still be pumpin gas.
rigid class system. long way from east houston and a welders cap to river oaks.
i made out out much better overseas and on the coast---and it was bek of the move away. needed to do it. once they got you pegged in houston, you stay pegged.

Really? I'm curious to know what you mean by this. I haven't experienced anything like that in all the years I've lived here.

We should totally switch places! It does get a bit too hot for me in the summer in Texas, but I would much rather be too hot than too cold. Up here in Michigan we have temps below 32 for nearly 6 months out of the year. In fact I once looked up the mean temperature for the area where I live and I think it actually is right around 32 degrees. Much too cold for me! We had a freak warm streak this week and yesterday was 55 degrees, which is about right for a winter day to me. Our summers often have highs only in the 70s or low 80s, which is just not warm enough for me!

The heat bothers me much longer than two months

(not man.....woman) For the beauty I'd love to, but even AK is too cold for me. I wish summer here were only in July and August as you say. It's more like May to October with some hot and humid days in the other months as well.

Again, too cold in Michigan for too long, but your summers sound delightful.

I've been here over 30 years from CA and although I wish I'd never moved, I wouldn't go back even IF I could afford it. The heat and humidity are hard to handle in TX. My neighbors and many others I know are nuts. They have the A/C running when it's 72 degrees outside with a low dew point. Geez, now that is nothing but a waste of energy and in my opinion, ridiculous.
