Happy Valentines Day...and be honest Y'all!
Happy Valentines Day my fellow Texans...
...and here is a poll.
I confess ahead of time it is a bit more "personal" than many, but might be interesting.
The subject is these "special days" like Valentines Day, which were, really, largely the creation of the greeting card industry (like Hallmark).
The question is, to men, how many of you have ever forgotten a "day" which was important to your wife or girlfriend? And to the ladies, how many of y'all's husbands/boyfriends ever forgot?
I confess, I am NOT good at remembering dates like this. I admit to having forgotten birthdays and Valentines Day. And even anniversaries!
As to the latter, I hasten to add, that I didn't ever really forget the "wedding annniversary" (back when I was married), but yeah, *sighs*, forgot some of those "other anniversaries"...which seem to make the woman in my life think I don't give a damn!
Hey? For instance, how many of the genre " Well, this was the 3rd anniversary of the day you first told me I love you and we were under a Tornado Warning" can a man be expected to remember, fer gawds sake?
Ok...maybe it is sexist to put it that way. So fess up, boys...misery loves company!
And share your best stories of your gaffe! You ladies likewise with your menfolk! LOL

I have to confess to forgetting St. Valentines Day on occasion but I've never forgotten our anniversary in 37 years. Thanks for the reminder.

Well.....what is funny is that I have forgotten, too.....and it's a different story when the shoe is on the other foot, LOL!!
It is acceptable and expected for men to forget, but God help a woman who does!! We're supposed to remember EVERYTHING!! It's amazing how feelings get really hurt when WE don't remember.
Otherwise, I wouldn't even care!
