Default movin to arlington texas from michigan, any advise on what to expect?

does any ya'll got any info bout arlington texas. any info will be helpful and much apreciated. im movin to arlington in may, i currently live in michigan. hows the jobs there like are the jobs fairly easy to find, genrally speakin. are the people in arlington nice, whats good area's in the city to live. thank you for any info, have a good day.

Have you visted the area yet? It sounds like you don't know much about it and are set on moving here.

Your questions really depend on what you like. What kind of job are you looking for, what field are you in, what do you like to do for fun? Do you want a small town or big city?

In general, the DFW area has not been hit as bad as some of the rest of the country by the recession, but it is getting there. There are jobs out there which is why my family and I are moving back.

Arlington sit's right between Dallas and Ft Worth. It is a older city and most of the neighborhoods are older. If you want something newer you will need to look at some burbs like Grand Praire or Mansfield in the southern section or Hurst/Euless/Bedford to the North. I would suggest you post this in the Dallas forum for some good feedback.

Don't expect any public transportation as there is none. Arlington is the largest city in the country without it.
