I am like you, Spade (or at least as I perceive what you are saying).

Because a real snowfall is such a rarity in most parts of Texas in most years, I still get a "little kids" type joy over the magic of snow! Especially when it falls at night and is on the ground fresh and perfect in the morning!

BUT...I can't drive very good on it (as is true of most Texans/Southerners) and it gets muddy and dirty and melty and miserable fairly quickly.

Bottom line is, at least IHMO, I wish it would fall at night, be there in the morning to enjoy. And let the kids play in. Maybe even get a day off from work.

THEN? Go away, dammit!

I hadnt drove in the snow in over 20 years. That is a concern. It would be like learning to drive in it all over again. Shoot, I can't manage to go from a gas stove to ele stove well!

I live about 75 miles south of Fort Worth, and that's not the Hill Country. It was great.
