Default Recurring Dreams?

Good morning Texas!

While I am enjoying the hell out of reading all the great posts concerning Texas scents and sights, it will drive me nuts if I don't ask this question:

That is, do any of y'all have recurring dreams that just seem flat weird?

Yeah, I KNOW this isn't a topic unique to Texas, but I am still compelled to ask because I had one last night.

For some strange reason, these "recurring dreams" always have something to do with school. They may vary just a bit, but the common denominator seems to be:

1. I am back in high school and cannot remember the combination to my locker, or remember my class schedule.

2. I am back in college and suddenly remember I have a final exam to take. And haven't been to class all semester!

Is that screwy or what...?

NO. I have those same two dreams every so often, and I just HATE them. On the locker, I can never remember the number of the locker or which floor it's on.

The final exam is always in math, too.

I have dream #2 several times, it is usually after several Shiner beers and good Mexican food.

How funny!! I have a recurring dream of being back in high school and cannot wait until I graduate. It's so weird, and I graduated almost 43 years ago.

I still dream I'm working in a salon, and I forget about a client when she has something like bleach or a perm in her hair. I also have one about a house. It's usually the same house every time and the further back I go into it or the further up, the scarier the atmosphere gets. Like the house is haunted or something.

Are we collection of screwballs or what? LOL

I ALSO have one about a house. And the further back I go into it, the weirder it gets. None of the light switches work. And there are TV sets which will not turn off and they just seem to glow an eerie blue color.

I am going to have nightmares tonight. Thanks to the lunatic who started this thread...

Some music I thought apropros for the talk here, y'all!

I always have dreams of work...it usually involves resuscitating a patient or shocking their heart back to life!

Very common dreams! I tend to have them when I'm under some sort of stress. The more stress I'm under, the more involved the dream. I have to get to high school to take a final, I haven't been to class all semester and don't even know where the room might be PLUS I can't find my school uniform in my closet (private school).

This is crazy! I always have dreams about how I forget my homework for class. It's the greatest stress relief in the world when you wake up and realize you have one more day to do it. Maybe I shouldn't procrastinate so much...
