Default Blue Laws to go away????

Finally, finally, there is talk to lift the silly, ridiculous "Blue Laws" that this state has imposed on its citizens for years. I personally never have understood them, or their purpose. Hopefully these laws will be lifted and I can actually buy my Scotch locally on Sunday instead of driving to a Military installation. Your thoughts?

Why don't you buy your liquor on another day and make it last past Sunday?

Even if the Blue Laws go away ya still have to drive all over creation to get liquor. I swear when I first moved here it took a freaking quest for fire to find a liquor store, and then when I DID find them it was like an oasis in the desert. There were 10 liquor stores in a 2-block area.

Nowadays though Little Elm is mostly wet and the liquor store is visible from the entrance to my neighborhood.

Where did you hear this? Do you have a link discussing this? If so, that's great for the people that like to party in the big cities. I can understand closing clubs at 2AM in cities that have a population of under 300,000 or so. But Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, and Fort Worth? Including Galveston as well. Clubs or party districts need to close whenever they want.

Yeah, as someone who worked retail once I loved the blue laws because we could actually have a day off.

I'd be interested in this. Counties still get to decide whether they're wet or dry, I would think, though.

Got a link?

I'll try to find a better link to what is actually going on with it. It was actually a news highlight on KWTX that got my attention.
