I've been to Hondo and had some friends who lived there several years ago and from what they said and in my opinion of what I've seen, you will once again be in the minority with your blonde hair and blue eyes. It's probably not as bad as where you are now, but still ...

Really, Hondo doesn't do anything for me as far as the town goes. I don't know if it would be nice or not "out in the country" on land for which you are searching.
