You need to come check out Austin Hill Country area. Lakeway/Dripping Springs area. It sits between two lakes and his rolling green hills with LOTS of tress. It's about 30 min from the Austin airport which is really easy to get in and out of. Not sure about the bass though. Anyway, I know a few great realtors if you need someone to help you find a rental or a home to buy.

Yes, you really should. The airport has a website if you google it. Very very nice. RJ's for American, Continental and Delta fly out of there.
The post is huge-has everything you could want and very easy to get around. Two commissary's and PX's. Golf course, skeet range, sporting club with cafe, fishing/hunting, movie theater, well heck, likeI said, largest military installation in the country. Medical facilities are EXCELLENT. I have been a medical professional for almost 20 years and currently work there and it is THE BEST hospital I have ever seen.
Please check out Gatesville/South Mountain/Fort Gates/Purmela/Levita/Jonesboro/Turnersville-all in Coryell County. You will find very inexpensive land. Gatesville is the county seat and a great cozy warm friendly community with Tractor Supply Company, HEB, SuperWalmart and great little mom-n-pop restaurants, bbq. It is the home of 5 prisons (Texas Dept of Criminal Justice), including womens death row.

Most Hill Country and Central Texas locations are probably what you're looking for, with San Antonio and Fort Hood to hopefully meet your military options.
