Hi everyone. I'm new here and as RGV aka Boris of RGV forum has already taken pics of the campus, I'm going to post the latest construction pics around campus. Enjoy!

Thanks. I'm glad they are restoring some of those old buildings! Since the whole area of campus is on historical ground, have they found any artifacts?

I'm sure they have foudn artifacts but must be basic stuff like old pistols, locks, horse shoes (found these before), etc. If anything significant was found, I have not heard about it.

In DT, when the county was restoring the 3-story Dancy Building built c. 1930s, and were planing to add more parking, they unearthed a cemetary that was supposed to have been moved back in the 1850s. They only disturbed a few graves but it is estimated that hundreds more may still lay there under the courthouse and for a couple of blocks under houses, streets, and buildings.

I think eventually it will become a park of some kind where there are empty spaces. The rest of the bodies will lie under the existing streets and buildings because of cost to remove them. They've been there for over 150 years, so I don't think they mind being there a little longer.
