I was out and about today in South Austin and saw the bluebonnets are starting to come out. I haven't seen any on MoPac Expressway but there is a big blossoming group on Manchaca Road/FM 1626.

Any other good Texas wildflower sitings?

I came from Houston to San Antonio last week and they were all over the place on I10. Not anywhere close to the cities, but in between out in the country. Also saw some on south I 35 outside 410.
Rain today and tomorrow should make em pop everywhere soon.

I am in Houston tonight and tomorrow. I have seen a few groups along US 59 and along I 10 heading downtown. I haven't seen any in Corpus where I live yet.

God loves Texas and it's showing some love. I drove down to New Braunfels tonight and I saw them on IH 35. We need the rain in South Central Texas - but it sure is nice to see the bluebonnets.

Any other sitings from the Trans-Pecos area? I fell in love with a crop of flowers in Junction about 4 years ago.

Pipeweld, what was your route? I'm about to break out my camera and make my South and East Texas flower hunting photo trip. By the way, I love your name. Welders are cool.

I saw scores of them driving between Austin and College Station almost two weeks ago. Quite a few in the Brenham area, too.

They're starting to come out here in San Antonio, but it's been dry here for many months and they're not nearly so abundant as they were to the north.
