Some people take freshness to the max though. I remember we used to popcorn at the theater and many people would say the wanted fresh popcorn and we'd give them popcorn that was popped 5 minutes before and they loved it.
Popcorn is not meat though. People still love Boston Market though.

I don't think it is the meat as much as the freshly cut tomatoes and onions daily, decent sized slices I will add, plus the fries...How often do we go to Micky Ds and see them actually slicing anything? Well, of course I don't go to Micky Ds so I never see it..

Even though I don't really like fast food, I'm happy that In and Out Burger is finally headed to Texas!

Seems like a visual fixation to me. I think some people enjoy their food more when they watch it being made fresh from start to finish, but for me I don't think that always translates to better taste. If it tastes good, I'll love it!

fresh or otherwise, yes, In and Outs do taste better...Of course food, like so many things is subjective...What some love, others could care less about.

They are NOT coming to Texas.
There have been rumors going around for years about their arrival. It ain't happening. Just like we are NOT getting a Disney theme park anywhere in Texas. There are literally people here in the Dallas area that believe what someone said about them already being under construction here....... LOL!!! You would think IF it was under construction it would make at least one news story.

and why do you think they are so crowded? doesn't that tell you something about them???

I would rather have (in this order)
1. Whataburger - double meat, double cheese + onion rings
2. Dairy Queen - Hungr buster
3. Burger King - anything flame broiled
And a creamy, thick, chocolate shake to wash it all down!

I guess this does show how subjective food can be, but obviously most people love in and out or the lines would not be so long regardless of what time you decide to eat..As for comparing them with Whataburger or Dairy Queen? I just can't see how anyone would not put InandOUt at the top when you consider the price..We are talking $1.59 or maybe $1.69 now..I do love Burger King, that is second in our book..But again just an opinion here.
momof2: what makes you say, they are not coming to Texas, do you know the top corporate managers personally? Did they tell you this?? It sounds to me, from the emails received, just the opposite, when, that remains to be seen. When they decide to open a store it only takes a few months if that long to build it..???
ATxcio, perfect comparison: Taco Cabana to true Mexican food and IN and Out to really good hamburgers. We rarely eat fast food, but those 2 are favorites as they do come the closest to being decent.
Yes, we will do the Buger King thing and even Sonic on rare occassions. DQ, hubby will, not me.

In n Out has very good burgers, and they are consistent. But you dont get a whole lot of options. Whataburger has lots of options but they are inconsistent store to store. Mc Donalds is...well consistent, and thats why they sell well. I wouldnt mind having an In n out or 2 in Houston.

I'd rather H. Salt Fish & Chips of Southern California H Salt Fish & Chips come back to the Dallas area like we had in the 60's & 70's, if IAO comes it's good for the burger business

In-n-Out has NOTHING on Five Guys Burger and Fries. NOTHING!
Plus, as a Texan, Whataburger will always get my vote. A-1 Thick and Hearty! Oh yeah!
