We have had Carl's Jr in Texas. I remember one being in Wichita Falls and a few other places around the state. Just never in the big cities like Dallas.
As for In-n-Out, had it this past Sunday for lunch
As for them coming to Texas............ highly doubt it. I didn't see anywhere in that link where In-n-Out said they were coming here at all. When I ran into an exec from their company at a convention I asked him about coming here. His answer, "No". Right now they are barely getting into Utah and there are only a few in Nevada. As much as I like them we do have some very good burger joints here in Dallas that are just as good. The Dairyette and Keller's. YUM!!! Cravin a burger now.

Yep. Most people don't believe it because they're used to pickled jalapenos! Texas pickles, as it's said in the South outside of Texas....
But straight out of the garden, take the capsaicin out of the jalapeno and you now have a bell pepper.

Yeah, pretty much. There was much eye rolling when we read that. Guess A&M thought it was an interesting challenge, so that Church's or some such could go up north and not hurt anyone.

That was my take, too. No info on that link to suggest that a Texas location is imminent. This is just like all those Trader Joe's threads, useless.

Carl's Jr, I think, has a better chance of succeeding here in Texas because it's been here for years, just not very frequent as far the number of locations. It's entering the Austin area market with free-standing locations (they also have free-standers in Wichita Falls and Burkburnett already), but most of their other Texas locations right now are in many Love's Travel Stop stores.
By the way, did the powers that be behind the In-N-Out movement actually say which Texas cities they would go into first, if, in fact, they are coming in? OP?? Anyone know??

Back when I ran into the exec for them at a convention and asked about them coming to Texas (this was at a convention in Dallas) they told me they would NOT be coming here and IF and it was a BIG "IF" it would possibly be in the Houston area
I still don't see them coming to Texas any time soon.
