Default How different is East Central Tx and West Central Tx?

I know East Central Tx just seems like East Texas in my TN native opinion, but West Central Tx(hill country) seems different than West Tx and has it's own unique persona.Just wanted to get some input from Texans.I like both areas for different reasons.(variety is the spice of life)
