Moving to Euless or Irving (Dallas, Fort Worth: apartments, rent, restaurants)

Hi there - I am moving to TX from Oregon for job reasons, and I am searching for new digs. Euless looks really nice, but it's hard searching remotely. Can anyone tell me about the apartments around there? The Westdale Hills Golf course has a bunch of apartments next to it.

Irving is much closer to work, but I am not finding a lot of nice places under 750 for a 2 bedroom that takes 2 small dogs.

Any input would be appreciated! Thanks!

With your requirements (2 dogs, under $750) maybe you should contact a apartment finder service. They will save you a lot of time.

around here many apt complexes have gone to charging a monthly fee--in addition to pet deposit--for people with pets, basically pets pay rent along with owners...
you won't find a 2 bedroom apt for that price unless it is really borderline area...be careful

i think that Euless is an under appreciated area in the dfw metroplex... the location is second to none in terms of proximity to everything... consider (roughly)

- 5 minutes from DFW airport
- 20-30 minutes from downtown Fort Worth
- 30-40 minutes from downtown Dallas
- close to shopping in Southlake, Grapevine, etc.

Lots of apartments, very affordable, nice parks, restaurants nearby, etc.

affordable is relative does not always translate to nice/safe

the better area of Euless for apts is the north and they are not that inexpensive...
and getting a 2 bedroom apt for 750 in an upscale/nice complex won't be easy anywhere from what I have read

Hi there - I found a place in Hurst - WestdaleHills - it's not the worst, it's definetly not the best, but it'll be OK for a year. Rent is 680, plus 40/mo for the washer/dryer (ripoff!) and the pet deposit was 300 each. Neighbors are OK - So far, I am enjoying the variety in weather. Dreading the summer though. Thanks again for the info and cautionary info.
