Horseshoe bay south
Just purchased some land in Horseshoe Bay South subdivision. Am not looking to live out there any time soon, but was just wondering if anyone has any thoughts about land out there in Horseshoe Bay itself. I noticed some subdivisions are prime (obviously with lake views, etc etc etc) but the properties in HB South subdivision falls on the other end of the spectrum ......do you think this area will boom anytime soon? Would like to see it more populated by the time I move out there.

Not sure about other people, but I do know some who don't want to see those areas boom in population. It'll kill the entire vibe of the area.

totally understandable. Just wondered if it was a mistake to have purchased in HB south, if this area is deemed a "bad area"

I've not heard that, but there are other people who could answer that a little more in detail. Try posting this on the Austin board and you'll probably get a better response.

I own some properties in Horseshoe Bay South. NRPI is going to begin marketing the area again to California investors in the summer of 2010. These are the Erik Estrada people.

My parents have one of the orginal homes in Blue Lake Estates. Right on the water on over 1/3 an acre.
I hope to hell it doesn't take off out there. I hate what taking off did to Lake Conroe and Travis. That nasty little bacteria that kills kids in the water in the summer has helped Bundles with over-population. Two or Three died in '07 and it's been quiet ever sense.

really? That is interesting to know although I think NRPI prices are a little excessive. I got a lil over a quarter acre lot in HSB south for $3,900. From what I have read, I got a steal. I am looking to get my lot marked off and then have the land cleared, save some of the nicer trees. Does anyone know how I get started in this process?
