Default Paducah

Anybody familiar with what is going on in Paducah, Texas? The cost of housing is outrageously low, but the median price for a home has nearly doubled since 2000, when it was only $20,000. Yet, the population has declined by 15% in the decade, and has fallen to about a quarter of what it was in 1950. About a quarter of the housing units are unoccupied.

What would it be like to live there? Anybody been there lately?

That place is small and its just plain desolate out there. Doubt there would be any jobs except farming and oil work. Most of the younger generation has left to find better opportunities in larger cities. Yes, land is cheap but life there would be extremely hard. Also, there are massive grass fires in that region every year.

Good Luck.
