Default Fredericksburg area home construction costs?

Does anyone know of the average cost for home construction that is about 2000square feet in the Fredericksburg/Doss area? I'm hoping maybe some people work for a few builders and can share the info. Thanks.

When I had my home built I used a local builder..Tilson Homes out of Houston.
It's been over 10 years so what I paid is moot. But they are a Texas builder and are familiar with soil conditions and gave me a pretty good ballpark. I did my business with their Georgetown office.

They also have floorplans that I was able to customize. I ended up with a farmhouse elevation, 2000 sq ft and a nice big covered front porch and covered back porch. They are a build on your lot builder. I was very happy with their work.

How much did it cost you 10 years ago? I'll see if I can adjust it for inflation.

You can go to their website and price the models based on what county you build in.
My model was Bridgeport, farmhouse elevation.

I added the covered back porch and changed the fireplace front to brick floor to ceiling so had to pay additonal reinforcement for the slab there. I did some other customizations that gave me credit back (no tile, etc).

It came to about 140K..didn't include septic or driveway but did include a detached 2 car garage.
House and garage were 4 sides brick. Came to about $140K. Nothing fancy.

ForgottenMan is on a distinguished road
Check out Hill Country Homes (.com) if you like the limestone/cedar/metal roof exterior which is prevalent in the area. I know the land is out of sight.

Yea, I priced 2000sqft to be about 200k using the Tilson website...so about $100per sqft. Of course this does not include furnishing and all that stuff, but most of that can just be carried over from the current house. Actually the home is not for me, I'm trying to help my parents get an idea on what to expect once they move there. They are going to retire in about 3 years and wanted to buy some land first. I was gonig to by land, as well, so then I just decided to go ahead and pool my money with them and get 20+ acres. We're looking at one tract right now that can be divided in case one of us decides not to live there. There' hasn't been a single land sale in this area for a long time (except 1 parcel) and we're wondering if we should just wait out a while longer since there are other parcels for sale. Sounds like a good opportunity to get a deal later down the road. I was walking the property last week and found an arrowhead that turned out to be from the Comanche Indian tribe. Pretty neat

The drought cracks the ground and with the heave/ho sometimes stuff works its way to the surface.
Pretty neat that you found it..now you can start a collection.
