check the map--Argyle is NOT a driveable distance to Arlington IMO because of the general distance and the way you would have to go--the Grapevine interchange is bad now and going to get worse in the future...
Coppell is better commute, has good ISD, and property values--but you need to check the MLS for price point for what you are looking for...Coppell is not cheap...
run a search on Dallas or Fort Worth boards for Coppell and you will get lots of hits...

I would prefer Argyle because of the more rural setting and less traffic, but as loves 2read stated, it's not a practical commute to Arlington.

Those are nite and day comparisons. Apples to Oranges. Country vs City. You can't compare them. Even the commute from Coppell to Arlington will not be fun at about 30-45 minutes depending on north or south Arlington. The drive from Argyle would be about 1 1/2 hours EACH way.

BOTH cities are going to have bad commutes to Arlington once the Grapevine Funnell (121/114/635 interchanges) construction begins in 2010. It is going to last 5 YEARS and is going to be a MESS.

I agree that Argyle is way too far away from Arlington. Yeah, it is a nice place, but hubby would spend his whole day in the car...

What is your price range for a home? Other criteria?

Look south, like Red Oak.

I live in Argyle, and I think would commit seppuku if I had to drive to Arlington every day.

To the airport is bad enough.

I will do that. I will take Argyle off my list of places to live.

Yeah, I have checked out the prices of home in Coppell and they are more expensive. I will have to buy a smaller house than what I have sold here in Ohio.
