Oh, I don't disagree. I was merely being a bit caustic in response to the post.

The U.S. is perhaps the "shortest" empire in the history of the world. Goodness, look at the Roman Empire that lasted for a good bit longer than us.
However, I do believe that the U.S. is on a downward spiral.
As for Texas gone crazy... No, that is only Rick Perry trying to bump up his numbers in the polls.

You guys are absolutely right. I can't blame anything other than the LSD and Coach Snyder's World History class.

We all have "hope" in the talk/rhetoric, but rising "fear" in the actions. Bottom line is that the populace eventually has to acknowledge the actions and not the lovely talk. It all adds to the "fear" factor.
I've been down this road before with Carter, I know what to expect and am prepared for it. Carter was a total amateur compared to Obama.
Lot's to be afraid of and guns/ammo/tea parties are the very least of it.

So people fear change cause whatever it was the previous administration was doing wasn't working. Either we continue the same path of isolation or try something different. The majority spoke and that is what we wanted to happen.

Agree.
It all depend on how you look at things. I would say the U.S. is in a state of flux...and most of the world.
Agree.
