Default Temple or Belton

Hi,
We'll be moving to either Temple or Belton for a job. Any advice on which area to pick? Schools don't matter to us, we don't have kids. We like outdoor things, parks, biking.
Is one city nicer than the other? How's the neighborhood?
Has anyone heard of Chappel Creek Village apartments?
Any insight would be appreciated.thanks!

Well, being a resident of Temple that has lived in the area for several years, I'd say residency is all in a matter of what you want. Belton is really small and there are some nice neighborhoods near lake Belton. Temple is larger with a lot of cookie cutter homes and neighborhoods and finally seems to be growing a bit. What is your profession? The only jobs around here that I know of are in the medical field. Most of the industrial jobs have laid a lot of employess off since the 1st of the year. DM me and I'll be more than happy to give you more info about the area.

Belton, NO DOUBT. Temple is too big and busy. I need my GPS just to get around there and find my way around to the stores. Belton has Lake Belton, a quaint downtown.
