I've never been to In & Out Burger, but it is way better than McDonalds, Burger King, Wendys, Hardees/Carl's Jr, Arbys, etc. Anyone know a better chain of fast food burger restaurants?

I've been almost everywhere except in & out, including jack in the box and yes, Whataburger IMHO is the best hands down.

Whataburger is average at best. Give me a Texas Burger any day over the rest of those generic burger joints.

I have an agreement with my wife that we can see her parents as often as we'd like so long as we can hit up a Whataburger. They live in South East Louisiana and we drive 5 hours (roundtrip) to Lafayette to get some Whataburger.

my vote goes to what-a-burger too......

of course, the fact that we don't have them here and i miss them may have something to do with THAT......

When I've lived outside the state, I couldn't return to Texas without stopping at a Whataburger. I take it for granted now that I've settled back here though.

Texas Burger is superb when you can find one. I usually stop at the one in Buffalo or Madisonville when I'm going between Houston at Fort Worth. But...
Whataburger - #1 with cheese, grilled onions and grilled jalapenos.

Greatness!

I LOVE WHATABURGER! I miss them so much since I moved to Colorado. I like them so much, my kids would get me Whataburger coupon books for my stocking at Christmas when we still lived in Texas. I've been in Colorado for nine years now, but when I go back home to visit relatives, at least one Whataburger stop is mandatory! Even my native Coloradan wife is a convert to the delicious Whataburger now. I keep wondering if I could get a franchise started here.

On a side note: there's a place in San Antonio called Chester's Hamburgers near Randolph AFB. Those things are good!
