NOTAM,
That's a beautiful trip you got planned! Definitely recommend Cooper's in Llano!

Where are you coming from? North/Central Texas area or are you coming from the Austin/San Antonio direction? I can help you with some suggestions and things to see along the way if you tell me which direction you're coming into town.

If you get a chance, make sure to see Wildseed Farms. I don't know how the wildflower fields there are looking what with the drought and all, but it's only 7 miles from Fredericksburg.

Just remembered, you might also want to check out the Nimitz Museum. if you're interested in that kind of thing. The Japanese Garden of Peace there is well worth a visit..

Order the pork chop, stop by the Llano river park, and visit my grandma in Stonewall.

Beautiful areas to visit and quite a bit to do and see.

After a trip to Enchanted Rock one July probably 12-13 years ago, I have one bit of advice. If you see it in summertime, go EARLY in the morning. That rock gets hot in the summer and there's no shade up there!

The Beans at Cooper's are Great.

Don't let your eyes get bigger than your stomach though. Because your wallet will pay for it. Pick one or two meats outside and then get your sides when you walk in. Plus the cobbler for dessert.

Last time I was there it cost me $80.00 just to feed myself.
Have a Good Time.

yea, I think we paid about $60 or so. However, the food lasts a long time and you end up saving money because you dont' have to cook or eat out.
