If californias would not live anywhere else.. why are so many moving here? No its not the same.. California is NOT TEXAS! Caifornia was NEVER a country unto itself.

You all seem to forget that California and Texas have tons of similarities.

It's not any place. It's other things: urban sprawl that is a spread out environment, middle class lifestyle, certain types of entertainment, some of the architecture, attitudes of the people amongst other things.

Texas is the Lone Star State! We have our own navy... we have our own history.. we have our own geography...we have our own heritage. We ARE! There is Texas and the remaining 48 are our back yard~

Hawaii is our kindred spirit.... it too was not a territory but a kingdom. It also has Hory Bats like Texas does and cowboys and use to have sugar factories like we had. They are the Southern most state.

I've been in Texas all of my life and I have never known of anyone who hated all other states. That is the most ridiculous assumption I've ever heard. Texans do have a certain pride, but doesn't any group of people who love where they live?

I guess I'm not the usual Texan. I am a native Texan and I do not love Texas. I try not to say too much negative stuff about it on the Texas form anymore. The main reason I don't like it is the weather. Also I think other states are prettier. So don't think that all native Texas love this place, I can't wait to move!

What areas are prettier?? I have to say that the only "prettier" city that I've seen is Augusta, GA. It's hard to beat Augusta's beauty, but other than that you don't get much better than the plants and trees in the likes of Houston or Beaumont. Come on now.
