Try Dallas.

I'd have to say Corpus Christi. It's got all the infrastructure in place, a huge port, nice airport, beaches, cosmopolitan feel, nice skyline, a downtown that's being revitalized, a growing university, affordable housing and a new progressive attitude in the last couple of years. I see great things happening for CC. Definitely a place to invest in real estate or start/relocate a business.

Not really.

I was just pointing out the hypocrisy within your statement.

You began by objecting to John calling most people in Tyler "Rude and Arrogant"; then you end with a rude jab, suggesting for 'rude and arrogant people' try Dallas.

So your logic that there is only a certain percentage of rude and arrogant people in every big city doesn't apply to Dallas?

End with a rude jab? He was the one saying Tyler is rude and arrogant. Are you saying that I can't say Dallas is an arrogant city since I experienced in first-hand like he did? I don't know how many times he been in Tyler but I been to Dallas multiple times before.

I just gave Dallas an example because it is closer to Tyler and they were far worst compared to Houston.

Agreed people forget that Baylor 2012 is going on right now, which is the takeover of East, South, and Downtown Waco for Baylor and if done right the population will grow; but I feel for Bellmead Lacy- Lakeview and Hewitt because its about to be a surge of people over the next 10 years, sort of like austin with round rock and p-ville. Midway and LaVega schools are getting bigger.

I'm saying why interject Dallas into the equation when the discussion was about Tyler.

John clearly stated his parents lived in Tyler for years and he visited several times. Sounds like first hand experience to me.

Again, the discussion was never about Dallas or Houston.

Metro Matt is that you?

Now, come on guys. None of my posts have been arrogrant. Most of the time I point out the positives of Tyler compared to MOST cities our size, which really are many. I have several times pointed out what many would consider as negative. Such as the post on here now, saying Tyler is not pro-growth. And many times I've said all is not wonderful and utopia, but most of the times others will find faults about Tyler they enjoy posting, so why should I? I've never posted the any "bad" stuff about other cities I've been to, even when I see others being so positive and proud of their cities. I try to welcome or encourage others to move/visit Tyler, to see or benefit from what I enjoy about Tyler. I have visited many cities in Texas in my 63 years of living here in Texas. I lived in Nacogdoches and Houston for 25 years. Liked both very well, again, for what they uniquely have to offer. Yes, you could look at it as boastful if you like, then that would be the case of all those who love, Lubbock, Waco and etc and post about there "likes". If you don't think Tyler is unique/special in any positve way, I'd be glad to pull out my list, post again, and bore you some more. lol

Persoanally ;I thnik that Corpus is in the right area to bomm ;but I really hate to see it myslef. Tyler is too near Dallas and I don't see anywhere else that is going to boom into a very large city.
