Smile Areas to avoid in Paris, TX

We are considering a move to Paris. We will need to rent a home and need to know:

1. What areas should we avoid? Coming from Baton Rouge, we know all about bad crime areas, are there anythere?

2. Can anyone give any suggestions on apartments or rental houses?

Any help is much appriecated!

Paris is a pretty mild place compared to Baton Rouge. I think you can live anywhere there & feel safe compared to a city like BR.

My wife is from Paris and there really is not a bad part of town. Everyone is pretty much thrown in together. There are some nicer newer homes on the outskirts of town. Apartments and home rentals can be found in the local Paris paper. Send me a private message if you have any specific questions. I will get the answer from her.
