People who say we're poor and don't have any jobs are lying to themselves.
Thank you!!! I hate it when people cork off something they obviously know nothing about.

Wachovia? Where's the link? I looked at their press releases for 2007 and wasn't able to find anything.

I really can't. There is retail along major intersections, the homes behind it. Sometimes you get a gas station at a neighborhood entrance. Same with where I lived in Houston. People exaggerate Houston's no-zoning.

Texas is cheap(er) because of property taxes and illegal immigrant labor...bottom line.

Obviously many of the posters here have never been to Texas or have been to the wrong places.

People are moving here from California in droves. Who in their right mind would pay $800,000 for an 800 square foot house!!!??? So what if you are 20 minutes from the coast? (I saw it on TLC the other day). They're finally catching on. Texas=better house & higher quality of living for less money!

Texas is beautiful, and unfortunately, people are catching on and driving up our prices!

Just a quick comment, there is a ton of illegal workers here in Cali as well, and that does nothing good for our economy!

I live in NJ. I am looking to relocate to Texas but sometimes I am not to sure if Texas is the place to be. I do not know if jobs market is good, I have seen the housing is comfortable in prices, I do not know of the school system. I will be taking a flight out to Texas in May 9, 2007 returning to NJ in May 16,2007. If anyone knows anything of what my concerns are please let me know.
