Default How A Texan Is Spending Summer Time

Hi, everyone! Let's all gather around around the computer campfire because I have a simple question for all of my fellow Texans. Summer is approaching, so what are you planning on doing? This time of year is chock-full of a lot of different activities and traditions, and many folks are planning vacations and trips. Maybe for you, there are a plethora of things on your agenda for this summer. You might even have a unique situation that may be worth sharing with our fellow C-D'ers.

So, let's see if we can kick this can around a little bit. What are your plans for this coming summer time?? Let's find out right here. Let 'er rip, and I'll be back with some of my musings.

Well, we're not completely sure. I would love to take my daughter to the beach but not sure which one. We've been to Galveston but she was just a baby so she doesn't remember. I guess I may visit my mom in Clear Lake, take her to the beach, show her where I went to high school and some other parts of town, like the Kemah boardwalk and NASA.

In July my husband want to go camping up in Arkansas. I really hope we get to do that! We may even venture into Missouri as well.

The best way to spend the summer (whether in TX or NM) is indoors during the day with AC....then sit out on the patio at night (if it's not too humid) and enjoy the cool breezes.

I'm planning to do a few road trips, but I hope that gas prices will not get much higher than they are. I'll be vacationing in West Texas in a few weeks (off to Lubbock to catch some dazzling sunsets and sizzling steaks). Another thing is, I'd like to go catch some minor-league baseball at a few locations in the next couple of months. They've got good prices for good seats, so I hope to take full advantage.

Yes, definitely include the car, LOL!!

The funny thing here is that some businesses in older buildings still have swamp coolers--and boy, can you tell the difference!!

In Texas, almost everywhere you go (other than EP), there is refrigerated air.

Give me my refrigerated air. I'm SO glad my house has it.

Working.
Playing outside with my dogs.
Some traveling and camping.
Keeping the top down on my convertible.
Hanging out by the pool.
