Default Moving to Victoria

Hey guys, I have a job prospect that I'm about 90% on taking in Victoria. I'm coming from Corpus so this is to be seen as a small upgrade.

I've been scouring the web for some apartments/condos, but haven't found anything. Any ideas where I could look? Also what are the good parts of town?

I know Victoria had some bad flooding a few years ago so you might want to be aware of that when picking a place to live. Victoria seems like a nice place, thriving community, that I have driven through many times. Sorry don't know the apartment situation so can't recommend anything.

The "nicer" part of the city is the north end. There was very little flooding in the city in '07, when we had record rain, but there were parts of the county that remained flooded all summer. Lowlands in the city can flood if very near the river, but that affects very few places where you would live, and none of the apartmet complexes.

You're only two hours away, and Victoria is a pretty easy place to find you way around, so come on up and look it over.

I have the first interview today over the phone so I'll more than likely be up there pretty quick if all goes well. What would one expect to be a decent salary in Victoria? 45-50k is where I'd like to be and I know that's pretty much supervisory 5+ years of experience here in Corpus.

Well the company pulled a bait n switch on me. General Ledger accountant turned into "Operations Specialist" with about a 12,000 decrease in pay. Really not sure I'm moving anymore.
