Good post! I dont even want to think about back to school yet!


It is actually a pet peeve of mine how excited some people get about the tax holiday. Would you be impressed by a store having an 8% off sale? You would laugh at them!

I know some discount is better than none, and there are some deals to be had, but most stores seem to have better sales the weekend before or after

Yep, staying away from the stores that weekend! It's not worth it, IMO. Too long of lines, crowded everywhere.... a major headache! All for 8%? Nah...

Exactly. Which is why I too will stay far away from shopping areas that weekend.

Great weekend to have a yard sale and stay out of the stores....ddn't school juct get out! I am not thinking about back to school yet.

It has probably been about 20 years since I bought an article of clothing retail. Except a few pairs of shoes, it is hard to get a perfect fit at thrift shops. I figure that saved me over $500 on sales tax alone. Thanks to all you shoppers who paid so much of my share of the tax burden for me.
