Actually, DFW has significantly more traffic than Intercontinental and Hobby combined (and that doesn't take Love Field into account) - http://www.faa.gov/airports_airtraff...commercial.pdf

Houston has two international airports to reduce the congestion at the main one. Smart move. The Port Authority of NY/NJ did the same thing for New York.
And see, it's stuff like this that I'm talking about. You said "Actually" as if to correct me? The fact still remains that Houston has more than one international airport. What's changed about that?
ALSO:
Number one, these figures are from the calendar year 2005, and number two, DFW Int'l even has more air traffic than JFK, so these facts evidentally go nowhere in proving Dallas' worth.

People in Houston are not mean! Maybe my family and I shouldn't even move to Dallas if you all dislike us so much.
At least mpope is being fair and giving Dallas credit where credit is due. After living here in Houston most of my life, (moved away from Dallas when I was six) I have not noticed the air being horribly dirty. You are thinking of Pasadena area where the refineries are.

My Houston Review
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, we just got back from our trip a few days ago. Here are my impressions.
1. Great people, friendly and welcoming.
2. Great food, I'm glad I'll have several years to check many of them out.
3. I felt Pearland (Shadow Creek Ranch) area to be too rural for us. I am used to living in a suburb with all the amenities.
4. I didn't find the city threatening or dangerous. Street smarts will go a long way.
5. The city was lively and people were always out and about socializing.
6. Memorial Park is beautiful.
7. For us, even with a child we loved Rice Military. There are some very nice areas nearby and it is not far from our jobs. We feel safe there and found a little niche with a neighborhood feel which is hard to come by when compared to all the townhome complexes going up.
8. Weather seemed good but the humidity will take some getting used to.
9. There is plenty of shopping for my wife to get in plenty of trouble and an equal number of local bars for me to do the same.
10. There is plenty to do and see in the city and nearby Galveston. I can see myself discovering new things even years down the road.
11. Houston is a much better city than Dallas.

I hope they noticed,
what was at the TOP of the list in the above post.
Blanket statements are rarely accurate. Each area has its own unique set of circumstances and character. Fact finding and digging will produce the answers, but never ask the Hatfields about the McCoys or vise versa!!

Eh, that's not true at all. I don't hate anyone. I do have a fixation on statistical facts and a desire for accuracy mixed with a sarcastic sense of humor, that often comes across as playing the devil's advocate. But if you play nice, make accurate statements and preferable back them up with links to facts, avoid "we're # 1" arguments with fools; most of us are real inclined to listen evaluate and offer counter arguments.
Or as someone else said...
Blanket statements are rarely accurate. - Jayhawks By the way we've been waiting since page five for you to admit you were wrong....
We're adults here, and please let me see the link that puts New York at number three. If you can do that, then I will shut up with class and admit I was wrong. I've done it before, and I can do it again. No problem. If you want to be taken seriously you have to stand behind your statements.

I wasn't comparing DFW to Hobby, I was comparing DFW to Intercontinental plus Hobby, since you seemed to be implying that DFW was only ranked so highly because of Houston's airport traffic being split.
I was correcting the implication that Houston had more traffic than DFW.
