I haven't either when the temperatures are in the triple digits or if it's as humid as a sauna.

You wouldn't catch me out in that ridiculous heat and near the mob that was probably there. That is not my idea of fun. I don't do Waco anyway if I can help it.

I apologize as I wasn't being offensive to Waco, but to the Texas heat...well, that's another story. I just don't like cities and there really isn't anything there that I can't find in my rural area. I have very low-maintenance needs.

Well if that's not a reason, there isn't one.

Default Y'all ain't seen HOT!

I live in the SW Sonora Desert... There's places here even cactus won't grow. 124 deg for a few days will make you appreciate a 100 deg cold snap. It's 105 deg right now... 'cooled off some. I read some posts where these folks won't wear cowboy hats... or boots... or even Wranglers. They would here. Sunglasses ain't a fashion statement... they're survival equipment.

The thermometer just hit 100 for the 60-th consecutive day in Laredo. Even Yuma Arizona can't match that, it has only been 100 for 51 straight days there.. Here in Victoria, this is the 80th straight day with the daytime high above normal. It's been 98 or higher on 78 of those 80 days. One day 96 and one day 97, the only day of rain.
