That would be crazy and unbelievable if every precinct went to McCain.

Here's an article.

In Oklahoma, McCain won 2,005 precincts. President-elect Barack Obama won 198 precincts statewide. The candidates tied in five precincts.

Texas is extremely liberal these days. I think you should go to Oklahoma. It would be a perfect fit for your values.

It depends on where you are. Out here in West Texas most people are conservative.

Yeah, Texas is not extremely liberal and I doubt it ever will be (thank god!). I'd rather be known as being conservative than liberal.
I think cities like Houston and Dallas are liberal to the point where I can tolerate it. In Austin, it seems people are out to prove how liberal and annoying they are. I swear when you go on 6th street, everyone is looking crazy, one dude was walking around in underwear, another chick was topless, etc

I was obviously kidding. The OP sounded like a "real" winner and I think Oklahoma it would be better for him to take his negative attitude there.

Because securing the nation's borders is a power given to Congress by the United States Constitution, not to the states.
If you think that the government isn't doing enough to secure the border, it's your responsibility to tell your congressmen to work to change the law. It is not your responsibility to take matters into your own hands or to have your city or your state (the town my folks live in in particular) illegally spend money on doing the federal government's job.
I personally feel our borders are very secure. Illegal immigration is an issue but the main issue is with the unworkable legal system required to immigrate--it's unwieldly and still relies on a racist quota system which is a vestige of Chinese Exclusion acts of the 1880s and beyond.

Come on Joejit, I apologized from the outset about pi$$ing you off and then I even pronounced my love for all peoples, just not their politics. Remember hate is not a family value and as we all know it takes a village to raise a liberal. Progressive babbling there. Immigration is supposed to be tough, thats part of the sifting process. Greatest nation in history of mankind, lets not forget it didn't get that way with out some serious cost of burden. Proud conservative who loves all. bman
