Having lived in both states and trying currently to get back to either one from the West coast, I would pick either. I don't think you can go wrong.

Having been to nearly every state in the US I don't think Texas is the most conservative, or Oklahoma. Even though the voting may not reflect it, in my travels Indiana felt to me as the most conservative.

Oklahoma is probably one of the top three most conservative states in the US. Which is a GOOD thing, btw (I'm from Oklahoma).
Having said that, most parts of Texas are very conservative. The area where I live in Tarrant county is definitely conservative. Texas is a very, very large state, so there is plenty of room for everyone.

Yet they voted for Obama. Have you ever been to Indianapolis nowadays? It's a liberal stronghold.
The most conservative state, as opinion polling and election results show, is Utah. Salt Lake City itself is a blue-tinged purple, and the entire rest of the state is a deep, deep red.

I lol'd at this statement or are you talking about people out in the country? The state as a whole is very liberal.

I could be wrong, but I think he was talking about the comment regarding Indiana being conservative. He was agreeing with you, or I think anyway????

Anyway, sorry about being a smart house, but honestly nobody likes a really political person. I have friends that are conservative, liberal, green, Socialist, libertarian, and all sorts of different beliefs. Politics just never comes up. As long as you are a good person and fun to be around you can be my friend regardless of political beliefs, unless you are a Nazi or something too extreme. Also I believe surrounding yourself with people with the same beliefs leads to all kinds of problems.
Ok, to honestly answer your question. Texas tends to be a little more center right leaning, but it depends on where you are. The cities are obviously more liberal and the further you get from the cities the more conservative Texas tends to become, with the exception of rural hispanic areas.
Anyway, Texans should accept you regardless of your conservative beliefs unless you act like the Rush Limbaugh type by calling people who disagree with you unpatriotic, which you sorta came off as in your earlier post.

Thought I detected a bit of odor in that recommendation.
The sour smell of progressive decay. Much sweeter in OK.
