Default Weatherford Help

My husband has a possible job opportunity in Weatherford. We are coming out (from Alabama) in mid July for 4 days to finalize his job opportunity and to look around. All the research in the world on the computer isn't as good as info from residents. So, we have 2 young children (both under 2) and school districts are important. We would want to rent for a year, so what subdivisions or areas of town are good? Also, I am a stay at home mom but am very active here in Alabama with moms groups, and things like that. Is Weatherford very family oriented? Everything I read makes it sound great, but tell me all you can. Thanks!

My brother's family was transferred to Weatherford a few years ago and they loved it there. They've lived in a number of towns and states but thought Weatherford was a great place to live....it has grown a lot in the past few years, lots of young families. The schools were very good. They lived in the edge of town in a development of homes on 1-acre lots on a small lake....maybe it was Lake Weatherford?..not sure, but it was just a few minutes from town and the schools. Most everything you need on a daily basis in right there in town, but it's an easy drive into Fort Worth. The weather is not extreme there and it's known for it's flowers and nurseries....things grow well there.

Yeah, I like Weatherford. I went through it today on my motorcycle. It's just 30 miles from my house in Fort Worth.
