Default What is Marfa and Terlingua Texas like in Winter?

Hi there: you posted 3 mos ago, I just joined (asking abt Susanville CA) and just checking eBay land: Texas is a draw as I do love NM and desert environments in cooler weather? Came acr. Terlingua, which has a semi mountainous high lonesome feel...I wouldn't buy for usage in summer as too blasted hot but as you know Marfa and the area: is there enough warm days in Dec, Jan or Feb to get out with dog (and NOT meet up w rattlers, they do hibernate here in CO, assuming so all over) and keep me interested...looks pretty diverse as far as terrain...so if one lived in Terlingua, where would one shop for bread and butter? thanks for any info on hiking and shopping and just good advice as in muddy season warnings? appreciated

If it's a thistle, then it's considered a noxious weed and from what I understand, it's not good for horses/cattle to eat it. We poison the hell outta them here and kill 'em off. If you're caught with it growing on your property here..you get a huge fine.
