Amarillo Nightlife (Panhandle: college, moving to, station)

Hey everybody, moving to Goodwell, OK in the fall for college and realized there isn't much to do in that neck of the woods but saw that Amarillo is probably only an hour and a half away. Being from out of the area (from the upper Midwest), any advice for nightlife for a college kid? Any bars with the cutest girls, just kidding, I'm not THAT shallow . Just wondering what I'll be doing on the weekends in the heart of the cattle producing Okie Panhandle.

oh you will find plenty of places to go in Amarillo, IF you like country western and like to two-step. you will find the most beautiful women in the world in the panhandle. have fun!
p.s. make sure to go to all your local Oklahoma and Panhandle Texas rodeos...another place you will meet others!

Hi JD......Welcome to the Texas board!....my son is 19 and goes to ENMU...his preferred place in Amarillo is Grand Central Station...and he said to let you know that Wednesday night is ladies night...Ha! Midnight Rodeo is also a good place.....but I am sure when you get to PSU the upperclassmen will fill you in on the hottest spots!

Yeah I'm sure there's quite a few kids heading down to Amarillo every weekend from PSU. Grand Central Station on Wendsdays... gotta remember that one .
