Texas is just one company away from tying NY for first place in the most Fortune 500 companies in the United States.

New York 57
Texas 56
California 52

Why do you think Texas has received so many Fortune 500 companies?

It seems to have to do with population, but if Texas gets one more than New York it won't mean much for the cities.
