And yet, President Obama has appointed the mastermind behind California's financial crisis to a position that will allow him to do to the rest of the 49 states what he did to Cali. Texas may not get to help themselves.

Yeah lets hope Texas does not become bankrupt like CA or corrupted like NJ.

Other than that, Texas is a hotspot for jobs.

It's not yet bankrupted like CA but it's already corrupted like NJ through Bob 'the builder' Perry-types and the Christian Reich interest-groups who have the ear of the (Repub) majority of pols.

Thats kinda sad. Lets hope Perry does not get elected in 2010. I still could not believe he wanted to secede. That is unpatriotic.

On the other hand, the Texas triangle (DFW, Houston, San Antonio, Austin) will probably be the booming cities in 2010-2020

It was all a political stunt for him to get his supporters rallied up.

Perry wouldn't have the intestinal fortitude to secede. However, I do not consider secession to be unpatriotic. If our federal government departs from the precepts and continues to ignore the U.S. Constitution, then I feel no obligation to be faithful to the unfaithful (and neither should Texas).
