Default Commerce/Greenville Texas

I will be relocating to the greenville tx area, would it be better to live in Commerce or Greenville. It seems like, just from searching on the web,[SIZE=2]That commerce has some newer apartments for better deals. Is commerce a "college town" that would have anything for a 25 year old single person to do on the weekends? Is there anything to do in greenville? I know dallas isnt too far away but I would rather stay in town than have to drive to dallas for something to do on a Saturday night.

Commerce is tiny. The only reason why it's on the map is because of the TAMU-Commerce. There isn't much to do and the apartments will most likely already be full because the dorms are terrible. Greenville doesn't have a lot to do, but it is bigger. It's going to be an older crowd. If I were you, I would live on the Rockwall/Royce City side of Greenville and there will be more things to do, with same drive as you would from Commerce. Good luck.

Yes, Commerce is a 'college town'......and that's all. There is nothing for a college student or anyone else to do on weekends....it's dead. The rec center on campus is open if you want to swim or work out. You can go to Greenville to the movies....nice 6-screen there and a few places to eat. But most young people (and old ones, too!) go on into Dallas to shop, eat, or find any excitement at all. But the campus is a pleasant place to be, to go to school, to meet nice people to hang out with....and there is a beautiful new student union building that has some organized activities. Hope you enoy your time there.

Default Please help us to move to Greenville, TX.

My husband and I can not afford to live in the Orlando, FL area. We love Texas, especially north of Dallas. We have been looking for jobs for him. Does anyone have a job in telecommunications or customer service. My husband just graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary but ministers jobs are scarce. I'd be grateful for any help. Please private message me because names are not allowed on here.

The apartments are soo much cheaper in commerce and greenville than the rockwall area that is why I was leaning towards the smaller places....
