I love music - period. I've played in punk bands, rock bands, church bands, and am now in a band doing strictly West Texas Blues/Americana. Rap is just about the only thing I don't really like.

Your Favorite Musical Genre musical genre . I've recently seen the three productions of High School Musical (I, II and III) and found them to be entertaining. I always was a fan of the american musical and appreciate the revival of that experience.

Cool thread. I'm living out of state now, but I was born in Texas and will always think of myself as a Texan, so I hope I don't offend anyone by responding.Rap/Hip Hop. I've heard a few things here and there that get my head bobbing up and down, but most of it doesn't grab me much. I really despise gangsta rap, but I find some hip hop somewhat soulful and funky. It's just not something I feel the need to seek out or listen to on purpose.Opera. I love a lot of classical music, but never cared much for opera. I've heard a few things that move me, but mostly it seems like people singing bad poetry in a language I can't understand while they are overacting. Don't get it.
